Rutger B. Colt III Scholarship Winners

Please join us in congratulating Philip Colt and Hannah Nodar as the recipients of the Rutger Colt III Scholarship Award!!!

Lacrosse has been a part of Philip’s life for as long as he can remember. He has been a part of the Walton Jr LAX program as well as being involved at the High School Level for the past 4 years. Philip has excelled in the classroom, on and off the field at Walton from Lacrosse, to Band, and  through his community service work.  He will be attending the University of GA this fall and he plans on trying out for the UGA Men’s LAX Team.

Hannah Nodar is not only an accomplished student-athlete, but also committed to helping the greater Walton community.  She grew up a product of our WJLA program and during her high school years, Hannah was a dedicated youth coach and girls referee.  She was a leader on and off the field - active in the National Charity League, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and selected to the Principal's Leadership Committee.  Hannah will attend Furman University this fall and plans to major in Politics and International Affairs.

WJLA Field Lining Sign-Ups

Please pick 1 or 2 weeks that you will be able to help line the fields and the field (Dodgen or Dickerson) that you will be able to line. We need 2 people per location per week. The fields are generally cut by Tuesday, so we need the fields to be lined Wednesday or Thursday afternoon if at possible and sometimes, depending on the weather, the fields at Dodgen may need a little touch up on Saturday a.m. We will have a meeting to discuss the details on procedures, how to use the equipment, cleanup, sharing contact info, etc.. as soon as I hear back from everyone

In the meantime, please sign up and reach out to me directly via e-mail or cell phone if you have any questions

Thank you very much,

Mark Aston
