The WHS Men's LAX Team are the 6A/7A STATE CHAMPIONS !!!! They DEFEATED the Lambert Longhorns in OT 8-7 to win the title, the first State title for the Men's Program since 2011
What a great win Wednesday night and what an electric atmosphere we had in Raider Valley! The school spirit and support shown to the team was a huge contributing factor to the win. THANK YOU!!!! It was so special to see everyone celebrate the victory on the field together and to feel the family atmosphere this is so real in our community. Hopefully that is a memory that will last forever.
Making a State Championship is a rare and difficult feat and should be celebrated. Winning the State Championship is the next opportunity in front of us and now all focus and attention is on Saturday’s game and the preparation.
We know the coaches will have the boys ready so now it’s up to Raider Nation to travel up 575/75 and bring that Raider pride and spirit on the road to KSU Stadium.
Game time on Saturday is 1PM, BUT BEFORE you make the short drive please first come join us at 11AM to see the Team Bus off from Walton HS as they depart for KSU Stadium (bus leaves at 11:15AM). The coaches have requested our presence for the send off so let’s be there to start the day off right. We would love to have our Raider family with Good Luck posters or pom-poms and your smiling cheering faces!
We are so excited for Saturday, see you there!

Please join us in congratulating Philip Colt and Hannah Nodar as the recipients of the Rutger Colt III Scholarship Award!!!
Lacrosse has been a part of Philip’s life for as long as he can remember. He has been a part of the Walton Jr LAX program as well as being involved at the High School Level for the past 4 years. Philip has excelled in the classroom, on and off the field at Walton from Lacrosse, to Band, and through his community service work. He will be attending the University of GA this fall and he plans on trying out for the UGA Men’s LAX Team.
Hannah Nodar is not only an accomplished student-athlete, but also committed to helping the greater Walton community. She grew up a product of our WJLA program and during her high school years, Hannah was a dedicated youth coach and girls referee. She was a leader on and off the field - active in the National Charity League, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and selected to the Principal's Leadership Committee. Hannah will attend Furman University this fall and plans to major in Politics and International Affairs.
The Walton Junior Lacrosse Association is built on succeeding through embracing the values of sportsmanship, commitment, education, community, and family. All members of the program will uphold these values by exhibiting hard work and respect for coaches, parents, officials, teammates, and the game of lacrosse. Our program is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all boys and girls who participate, while developing their skills and knowledge of lacrosse.
