  • Practices are expected to begin in late January.  Practices will be (2-3) times per week until the first game, at which point there will be (2) practices per week and (1) game per week on Saturdays or Sundays.
  • Season schedule is (8-10) weeks/games.
  • Home fields in use will be Dickerson, Dodgen, and Terrell Mill Park.
  • Registration fee is $280.  Players that need to purchase a uniform will have an additional charge of $80.
  • A valid US Lacrosse membership number is required to complete the registration process.  Make sure your player has a current US Lacrosse membership with an expiration date after May 31, 2020. To check the expiration date of your player’s US Lacrosse membership, or to renew your membership, click here before you register with WJLA:  (Membership > Membership Lookup).
  • If you experience problems validating your US Lacrosse number during registration, please make sure the information you enter in this registration form matches EXACTLY with your player’s US Lacrosse profile information (e.g. name, birth date, zip code).
  • Concussions at all levels of sports have received a great deal of attention and a state law has been passed to address this issue. Player and parental education in this area is crucial. Thus, WJLA is requiring that all guardians of boys and girls players sign the Concussion Awareness Waiver during the online registration process.
  • SportsEngine uses the information in your profile to communicate; the contact information you provide during registration is for backup only. Please make sure your SportsEngine account settings are updated to include all desired email addresses and mobile phone numbers to ensure you receive important emails and text messages about your child’s team.

The Walton Junior Lacrosse Association is built on succeeding through embracing the values of sportsmanship, commitment, education, community, and family.  All members of the program will uphold these values by exhibiting hard work and respect for coaches, parents, officials, teammates, and the game of lacrosse.  Our program is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all boys and girls who participate, while developing their skills and knowledge of lacrosse.

The Metro Atlanta Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA) is a non-profit organization and the local chapter of US Lacrosse, which is the non-profit, national governing body for the sport.  MAYLA was formed in 2009 as result of the merger of the Georgia Youth Lacrosse Association and the Georgia Middle School Lacrosse League.    MAYLA supports and promotes the game of lacrosse at all levels in its chapter area, which includes the Northern Georgia and Metro Atlanta Area. MAYLA also works closely with the Georgia Lacrosse Foundation to maintain the Georgia Lacrosse Hall of Fame, which honors the great players, coaches, officials, promoters and others, both men and women, who have made significant contributions to the game in Georgia.  Our recreational teams compete in MAYLA.

Newtown Recreation is dedicated to increasing the quality of life in our community by providing positive sports experiences for all coaches, parents and children. We believe that each child, regardless of athletic ability, should have an opportunity to grow athletically and socially through participation in athletic programs that are fun and safe.

Our programs encourage fun, team play, sportsmanship, individual development and parental participation. We believe that playing the game is the most important reason for the contest and not who wins or loses.

We are a non-profit, self-supported, youth athletic organization of the City of Johns Creek. The day to day operations of Newtown Recreation are managed by 3 full time employees. An all- volunteer board of directors provides oversight and direction.
